An EU regulation that governs the dissemination of information associated with the use of chemicals and requires risk management activities.

The REACH Directive mandates all companies manufacturing or importing chemical substances in the European Union to collect data on the chemical substances they use and report their findings to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

It also mandates the substitution of substances of high concern when suitable alternatives have been identified.
