Created in 1974, the IEA is at the heart of global dialogue on energy, providing authoritative analysis, data, policy recommendations and real-world solutions to help countries provide secure and sustainable energy for all.

In 2021, the International Energy Agency (IEA) published “Net Zero by 2050 – A Roadmap for the Global Energy Sector”, a report emphasizing seven key domains of action to transition to a low-carbon economy: energy efficiency; behavioural change; electrification; renewables; hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels; bioenergy; and carbon capture, utilization and storage. / an economy that aims to minimize its output of carbon gases while functioning as a traditional economic program.

The challenge for policymakers often is in determining how to balance economic growth with reduced Emissions.
