EU Regulation No. 2018/842 on Binding Annual GHG Emission Reductions by Member States

A European Union regulation that establishes binding GHG Emission Reduction Targets for Member States from 2021 to 2030. The regulation details obligations on Member States to help fulfill the EU’s target of reducing its GHG Emissions by 30% compared with 2005 levels by 2030. The regulation also lays down rules on determining annual Emissions allocations and for the evaluation of Member States’ progress toward meeting their minimum contributions.
