Energy Recovery

The act of converting waste material (usually non-recyclable material) into usable heat, electricity, or fuel energy, usually via combustion or burning. While less environmentally friendly than recycling, reusing, or source reduction, Energy Recovery has the benefit of reducing the amount of Solid Waste that is sent to Landfills.
